In honor of our animal-loving little Juliette, her 4th birthday party was held at a horse stable. On a crisp Saturday morning, we gathered to celebrate together and attempt to get little munchkins to ride horses.
Magdalenne and GiGi dressed in true cowgirl style.
The unplanned highlight was the cat that lived at the farm. I think Juliette may have more impressed with this little cat than the gigantic, amazing horses.
Horse-riding was next on the list and the birthday girl was first to climb aboard the mighty animal.
Who could have predicted? Once Magdalenne saw Juliette get on that horse, she became emphatic that she too wanted to ride the "big horsey". You are going to have to wait your turn, Magdalenne.
Juliette was (for the first time ever) a little more hesitant once she was actually atop this gigantic animal. Her ride was short - but the fear did not seem to be passed onto her sister...
As the Dad's looked on...
Magdalenne was fearless, bringing awe out of the ladies at the farm. "We have never seen someone so little want to ride a horse!"

These chickens were more difficult to hold than the ones Juliette has met at the petting farm. GiGi helped her nab her first chicken - here you can see her passing it onto the birthday girl.

In the fifth picture down, where Juliette is on the horse, I actually think she looks a lot like me as a little kid! I rarely see that. :) The background in the first picture makes me realize we missed our opportunity to do a gangnam style spoof while we were in the stable!
