Alice At Home

Alice has been home for about 3 weeks now and we have begun to get used to the sights and sounds of her in our little apartment. Here are just a few of the common things you will see on any given day at the Lukaszewicz house:

She loves her time on Dad, although it is more common that he is walking/bouncing/dancing with her than sitting this calmly - but we get some good snuggle time too.

This is where I spend about 70% of time lately - Alice is getting better at breastfeeding everyday which will hopefully start to make this time a little bit shorter in the weeks to come.
This is how Alice spends the majority of her time when she isn't sitting on my lap in the breastfeeding chair.

Ok, to be perfectly honest, this is also how she spends most of her time.

We manage to get out and about - here is Alice and I on our very first solo walk.

Like I said, we get some good snuggle time.

Best of all, we get to spend tons of time together as a family.

Happy Sleeper

As we have slowly adapted to the daily routine of absolutely no daily routine and a more rigorous feeding schedule - Alice wasn't gaining enough weight, so we now have to feed her every two hours during the day - I find myself with significantly less time to take pictures of her (unless I want to include images of my bare bosoms because I have plenty of time to snap photos during all the feedings!).  When she is not eating, she is most likely sleeping. So, for lack of a better photo selection, please enjoy a few pictures of our happy sleeper.

First Bath (at home)

We could not longer ignore the slightly greasy look to our daughter's beautiful blonde hair, so Mike and I took the plunge and attempted our first bath at home. It actually went pretty well. There were moments of peace and moments of blood-curdling screaming. All-in-all, pretty successful first attempt.

Here, Alice is thinking that she might like this new sensation.

Still feeling pretty good, even with the warm water dripping down her little head.

Ok, she has officially decided that she does not like the bath.

Nothing beats the post-bath snuggle - looks she has forgiven us for getting her all wet.
