Mandy and Kei Meet Alice

At the end of May, Mandy and Kei flew home from San Francisco for our cousin Brian's wedding and to meet Alice for the first time!

The First Meeting!
Kei is looking good with his new niece.
Tia Mimi has been waiting a long time for this.

Below you can see Alice at her first Happy Hour on the patio at the Harp.

We ended up getting to spend some extra family time at home with the whole crew. It was a very special time.
Here are a few more shots from our time in Manitiwoc...

Mimi and Juliette are too cool.
Many hours of cards were played - check out Alice's intense interest in Mike's hand.

Gerry and James' Birthday Party at the Lake

The whole family made it out to the lake to celebrate the birthdays of Gerry and little James.

It was a chilly weekend, but we bundled up and enjoyed the beautiful property.  Much time was spent installing a zip line.

And even more time was spent looking for missing washers and wrenches under the deck.

The party included both a gift opening and a basketball-shaped pinata!

Happy Birthday boys!!

Alice at 8 Weeks Old

Hello Everybody! Sorry that it has been so long. I have several posts to catch up on, but I thought I would first put together a few of my favorite pictures of our little Alice.

Things have been going pretty well for her so far - today she is 8 weeks old and getting bigger by the minute.

She continues to sleep a lot. Her sleep is most often disturbed by her constant desire to have her arms up overhead. Above you can see her successful Houdini-esque escape of her arms from her swaddle.

If she is unrestricted, they will usually find there way into this position.

This little seahorse is Alice's lover - she becomes completely mesmerized by this little creature and the bubbling song that it produces. I like to lay them facing each other so that they can stare into each others' eyes.

She is getting so much stronger everyday! I can't believe how much she can learn from one day to the next. At the top of the blog you can see her barely able to lift her head and just a few days later she can be seen chilling comfortably on her mat.

Finally, having a little girl would be wasted on anyone who doesn't have a little fun dressing her up. She wasn't thrilled about the gigantic flower on her head...but could she possibly look any cuter??
