Brandon and Allison's Wedding

On September 8th, the Beehners gathered in Normal, IL to celebrate the nuptials of our cousin Brandon to the lovely Allison Buss.  I do believe that Martha Stewart would have been pea green with envy if she could have seen the elegant display that Allison and her family put together for this wedding.

If I could be so ungrateful as to complain, I have to say that the only disadvantage to this beautiful farm wedding was the unseasonably cold day. It was FREEZING!! Once the sun went down, Mike and I headed back to the car for layers to try to fight off the cold.

Luckily, Mike bought a new fall coat at Marshall's this morning so I was feeling confident we could return to the party in warmth.

Quick pose on the dance floor - ok, so everyone has jackets on...but you will notice that I am the only one with a green sweater over my dress, my original dress jacket, and then Mike's fall coat over it. I still have never learned moderation...but I was comfortable. And, being one of the few people that didn't have the added advantage of alcohol to warm them up...I do believe that I needed those layers. :)

Who do you think was drinking copious amount of alcohol - the girl in three outer layers or the sexy number in the strapless dress. Oh wait, mom has lost her coat by this time too. I am just a wuss.

This might be right after Mike spent a good portion of time talking to Erin about taking care of babies - the first of our "tells" that we were hiding a pregnancy tonight.

Near the end of the night, our crew discovered this hanging frame with a adorable jar full of props. This is just what we need!! Props, lighting, and about ten digital cameras...go!

Finally, with chattering teeth, I rounded up the crew to head back to the hotel.  We got everybody into my little golf with only one person in trunk (Kei!). 

Home, safe and sound.

Thank you Brandon and Allison for inviting us to your amazing wedding...we had a blast! Kelley and Chen, we missed you all night and wished you could have been there with us!
